Making of the first video, after composing music for Smooth Sailing
Dad, please don’t make us read your life’s story when you make a blog post, get to the point.
My Daughter, This Morning
I found out that you can’t make music these days without video. This is my first video and is dedicated to my Wife and my Daughter.
In the coming days, I will write a post about composing music here.
Smooth Sailing is dedicated to your relaxation.
1.Arrival
“Let’s go forward toward the things we missed” -Wise words of my girl during C19.
Maybe I make them into lyrics some day.
2. Wake up John, Wake up Yoko
A hard days night getting here. Made it to Fort Lauderdale. Woke up and looked back at the white bed sheets and couldn’t get the image of John and Yoko’s Bed-In for Peace out of my head.

3. Scouting

I opened my eyes to the perfect set location reflecting in the mirror.

The set.
4. Equipment

Finally had time to play with my @gopro Hero 8 Black, Thanks to my wife for this incredible gift. Also played with my updated version of @steinbergmedia Cubase Artist to help create the music.
The song was created using Groove Agent, HALion Sonic and Kontact’s Lo-Fi Glow plugin
I also applied various @wavesaudio and @izotopeinc plugins. Mastered using Ozone 9 and uploaded to @spotify and other music services through @landrmusic
Got to use my new favorite music making toy from @monogramcc , The Traveler, which is quite aptly named for this video.
All about the music creation in another post, this is about the video.

Sat down ready to film and took a second to listen to the Ocean. Mama nature.

7. The Edit

I used to use Adobe Premier, but that was years ago.
This time, I will try out Wondershare Filmora X.
I will post how I like it for editing video after using it for a while.
